Model 902 Shaft Type Unwinds

The simple and cost effective approach to unwind payoff stands, this heavy-duty, long lasting design fits most applications where roll weights (2,500 Lbs.) and roll diameters are smaller (less than 42”). Loading and unloading the stand generally requires handling a lift out air shaft in conjunction with an overhead hoist system, roll loading cart or lifted off of the floor with the floor pickup option. Cantilevered units are available for smaller rolls, which remove the need for shaft handling.

Standard and custom options can be provided, including but not limited to: roll lifting arms, open and closed loop tension control, braked or driven tension hold back systems, unwind pack (or peel) rolls, splicing stations, edge or line guiding, and roll access platforms

Model 904 Shaftless Type Unwinds

A step up in functionality compared to the shaft type unwind, the shaftless style implements roll chucking pedestals or arms that mechanically engage and dis-engage to locate the material roll during the roll loading process. The need for a removeable air shaft is eliminated. Mechanically engaged chucks locate the material roll which can be changed out if various core sizes are needed. Loading and unloading the stand generally requires handling the roll with an overhead hoist system, roll loading cart or lifted off of the floor with the floor pickup option.

Model 906 Multi-Station Unwinds

Standard multi-station units are generally built around two unwind stations (shaft type or shaft-less type) incorporating a hot or cold laminating station for dual substrate products. Custom units can be designed to fit unique applications that require several unwind stations with features and options as dictated by the product and process.
